I think Link is owned by Nintendo. And someone does own Ben because whoever it is created him.

Ben wasn't created. It's just the nickname given to the Link character used in the Majora's Mask video/creepypasta.
It's only a separate character per-se because some people are more familiar with the creepypasta than the game.
Or hell, even sadder, more familiar with the character than the pasta that spawned it.
