Alternate title: 088: Pain

I tried more complex shading in this, as well as more realistic blood and tried textures again. (Dress from some brushes on dA, everything else just done by hand.) I also sketched this right in Photoshop.

Powers: Hovering, communication with the monsters in the Shadow World, mild sorcery

History: LeiLai, her little sister, and one other were kidnapped and brought to the Shadow World by it's ruler, Shadow Nebula, to stay there and serve him. The two girls were trained by the other in the ways of magic and now are both young but talented sorceress. Es. LeiLai and her sister are very close, and since being brought to the Shadow World, the older sister has been very protective of her younger sibling. When Shade Marly angered Shadow Nebula, he slapped her across the face. This made LeiLai angry, so she threw at a chair at her master, which brought him to the decision that she no longer deserved the privilege of hands. He took two small burlap sacks and filled them with the flesh of fallen Shadow Worlders. He sewed them up and stitched them to the ends of the sleeves on LeiLai's dress. He then stitched the dress to her chest and bandaged it up to stop the bleeding, putting a curse on the dress to keep it from ripping. As she struggled, she kicked him, so he decided to cut off her feet as well, putting a spell on her to make her hover. She screamed and cried, and he threatened to cause more pain if she didn't suck it up and smile. When she wouldn't, and begged instead, he took a sheet from another sack and stitched it to only one side of her face, using thread and a button to stretch a huge grin across the fabric.

The sacks, being filled with rotting flesh, attract alot of monsters in the Shadow World. Because she can't run from them, she instead gains their trust and loyalty. Hellish monsters on her side can come in handy.

Her first appearance is in Nightmarish Bindings, when she meets with Dark Delani to warn him about the bad stuff that's surely gonna happen. Since then the two have become good friends.

Were she ever to leave the Shadow World, her curses would be lifted and all her wounds would heal.

She despises the piano.
