Description
The flickering lights from lightbulbs way past their lifetime twisted the shadows, making them look alive and ready to attack.

"I don't like this one bit..." Shank said under his breath. "There's a reason these metro tunnels are abandoned."

There was a cracking noise behind them, but as Shank turned around, nothing was there. He dismissed it with a shake of his head.

"Well, since somepony thought it to be a good idea to shoot up a hostage, and a town's doctor for that matter, we have to find someplace else with a roof above our heads.
I don't know about you, rough guy, but I don't want to be woken by some overambitious scorpions."

The crackling sound of exposed wires and the dripping of leaking pipes formed an abstract ambient sound, only occasionally interrupted by that cracking sound Shank heard before.
But everytime he turned around to check, nothing was in sight. He grew nervous. This place was getting to him. And what's worse was, that Vignette didn't seem bothered at all by their surroundings.
Shank drew his SMG.

"Just in case...", he said, as Vignette shot him a curious glance

"What's wrong?", Vignette asked the Unicorn. "You've never looked so distraught these past few days."

"This place feels wrong. Out in the open I can see them coming, but here are so many nooks and crannies...these tunnels are claustrophobic."

"Well, your rifle won't do us any good here, I'll give you that. But other than that I think you're overreacting a bit."

*Crack*

"Did you hear that, too?"

"I may not be as perceptive as you, but I'm fairly certain that-"

*Crack*

"There! There it was again!"

"Okay, this time I heard it, too. So what? Some cracking noise, big deal. Probably just some wet fuse box. This place is soaked from all those leaking pipes..."

"No this wasn't a fuse box. This sounded different. Almost like...claws on concrete."

The shadows distorted the walls, and for a fraction of a second, Shank thought he saw a pair of eyes, before they vanished in the shadows.

"Vignette?"

"Yes?"

"We are being watched."

Well, it certainly has been some time. Storm had to sort some things out, so I was kindly asked/forced at gunpoint to make this next part of our tennis. But the next is up to you, Stormbadger!
