I don't want to offend you or something(forgive me if i do). But what did you learn by doing this 2month study?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

D0RIAN0 In reply to MorseloFlight [2012-09-10 17:15:18 +0000 UTC]

The shortest answer would probably be "Perception and Control".
Perception being refining the eye to perceive the entire image as a whole as well as perceiving subtlety in shapes/proportions, values, edges, etc.
Control being the ability to manipulate the medium _exactly_ how I intend.
In the world of music it would be refining your ear and mastering your instrument.
Also it was really important for me to keep working through all the barriers and frustrations, just keep going, refine, fix, erase, redraw, until it's just right.

it took a looong time making it smooth...
filling the holes in the grain of the paper... good time for audio books

You sure this isn't a photograph? o.o Seriously, this is completely flawless. The only thing that gives it away is how smooth the background is, but that's a very very minor detail.

(And holy crap, one of my art professers has already commented on this picture D *points at Darkdesyre*)
