Description
In this WoW fan art painting, I wanted to show a bit more of landscape with the main subject being one of the Pandarens on a dragon. In game, I really liked the area surrounding Honeydew Village and beautiful scenery you can come across so I got some inspiration for that area. Enjoywww.d1eselart.com/index.html

You have a wonderful painting technique that really catches the eye!
Even though I have a few things to note here, apart from how I feel that the verdant plateau is a bit too sudden out of the plain-air style background. It shows where the artist's attention went, and if I look at the two buildings right in the distance of the plateau, that is where my attention will linger, and wonder why I can't see more. Are they just as far as the third, farthest building? By perspective, it doesn't seem so. By technique, it is made as though. But not really.
While I enjoy the technique for the most part, I disagree with the overall perspective of this piece.Β
The horizon being tilted to the right seems not justified while the leftside terrain's plane appears in a semi-isometric view and the pandaren is riding a dragon between which and the former plane stands the viewer.Β
The whole thing feels to me like I'm about to enter a maw in a way, and feels like the pandaren and the landscape aren't even in the same viewscape altogether.Β
Please do not take personal offence to my opinion, this is still a very solid, and enjoyable painting despite my gripes.

great job, i really think you could knock this out of the park if you just tightened up a few things on the left and maybe not make some things so lopsided, unless that's a personal choice. yes, like the claws in the back, just clean a few more things up and this will be a great piece!

or maybe tighten the dragon up and add more mist to the left since he is the focal point

Wow!! That's fantastic!! Amazing work!! I played WOW back in Lich King.. but left right after launch of Cata... the new changes just changed the game too much and I wasn't having any more fun..Β I first saw this pic and thought it was a GW2 inspired pic.. either way.. Great job!! Maybe I can contact you to handle some album artwork for me in the future.

Oh that's not good.
You should never get discouraged by other artists. I love other artists that I feel are better than me because I use it for inspiration. So focus on your own work and on getting better. Never give up!
