I had a dream one night that Shovel was a treasure hoarder in some old, broken down ruins and he often contemplated his life up until an adventurer (Shield Knight) came to take his treasure
they fought and it was a draw and she offered for him to come join her adventures
he was reluctant at first until she started leaving, and he gathered some of his favorite treasures and useless relics to follow
They got close, reeeeeeally close, and with a stable relationship, Shield Knight felt comfortable enough admitting she was transgendered, and in return, Shovel showed her that he was nothing but a soul inhabiting some old armor and the two were inseparable up until the events leading up to the game
and then Shovel fell right back to square one, wondering if his love for treasure was really worth anything or just something to comfort that hollow feeling he felt
and yeah
Is it even worth it…?
