Description
this is my pretty boy, Dauber. his colors are inspired by the Blue Mud Wasp.
he's a Hivewing/Silkwing hybrid. his father, Executioner (who you can find a headshot of here: www.deviantart.com/d3pressedr4…) cheated on his wife with a Silkwing servant, and Dauber was born.
Executioner is a Hivewing nobleman. he is well-known and respected across all the hives. so you can imagine his surprise and horror when he was given an impure-blooded child to inherit his fortune. Dauber was the first male born out of a harem of pure-blooded females. Executioner had been trying for a son to inherit his position and money when he died. unfortunately, he was hoping that his first son would be pure-blooded (because noble Hivewings typically look down upon Silkwings and hybrids). however, because his wife isn't getting any younger, Dauber remains his only son amongst a harem of six daughters.
Dauber is an ambivert. since his mother is a total party dragon, she throws one almost every night, and Dauber loves talking with other dragons and engaging with people. but he also enjoys being alone out in nature. one of his favorite past-times is painting. he loves painting landscapes and still-lifes, as well as reading. he is very intelligent, acing all of his classes and spending a lot of time focusing on school. he also loves shopping at the Jewel Hive's Bazaar (or whatever the fuck it's called XD). he loves color and flair, and enjoys looking at all the beautiful silks and gemstones.
Dauber is currently in love with a Hivewing female his father introduced to him, named Tarantula (her full name is Tarantula Hawk).
More points about him:
- He constantly has paint on his claws.
- He's never met his mother, as she was fired after he was born.
- Executioner genuinely does love him, despite him being a hybrid, but isn't quick to show that in public. Dauber is, in turn, very fond of his father.
- His mother, however, he has a terrible relationship with. She hates him mainly because she's jealous of his relationship with his father (he did cheat on her XD). Dauber tries not to argue with her.
- Dauber loves his sisters, and would kill to protect them. It's a mutual thing.
- He can spin silk out of his wrists, just as well as any Silkwing can. He's learning to spin tapestries with it.
- For whatever reason, he's always cold, and can usually be found in jackets and sweaters.
- He has the body of a Hivewing, but the colors of a Silkwing.
- Dauber's wings are a bit small, for some reason, but they make up for it with their beautiful amethyst color.
- He has a small stinger on the end of his tail. He's only ever used it for hole-punching, but his poison is very potent.
- I'd like to imagine that he has a cute, pleasant voice, that cracks a lot. Maybe he sounds like Sunburst from MLP XD. I dunno I love his voice.
