Last Friday I had to be there at work while the president dined in the Marly Court, together with the Indian prime-minister and the governor of Colorado. I still don't understand why me. Anyhow, the diner concerned a massive weapon deal between countries.
I needed to draw about it. From where I was standing, the sound of the Republican Orchestra echoed oddly in a pagan symphony.

Paper drawings are tricky in the sense that nor photos nor scans could render perfectly the physical optic impression. I scan the document first in black and white, then in gray shades. I combine both documents in order to get details as well as contrasts. I use bristol paper but the scan would eventually warp the ink strokes, this is why the drawing always has something harsh in digital version. In physical version, it is rather soft and detailed...
