Well,this is my first deviation and attempt at dark art got some advice from baxter thanks
and hope you guys enjoy and can help me along the way

Great for a first try!
Pointers:
1. Get rid of the white border around the girl. If you don't have Photoshop, get it. But if you do, that's great. Use the eraser tool with a small brush size to get rid of the white edges. The image will look cleaner.
2. A wallpaper is usually 800x600, 1024x768, 1600x1200. When making a wallpaper, bigger is better.

I don't know why, but this piece really struck me. probably because I'm really into gothic/dark art these days... only advice I have is to try to make the girl seems like she's part of the background... the white edge seems to take something away from the piece.
