Description
While visiting the Bavarian Alps in the last weeks I didn't quite get the conditions I was hoping for but was blessed by mysterious fog and mist instead. In the end I was still happy to get unique light moods.Featured:

It's a physics phenomenon (when at sunset the atmosphere acting as a prism and mirror only lets the longer wavelength through: blue) and an existential one.
But you know how the french (used to be) are helpless romantics and part time nostalgic. Not necessarily of specific things, more of "l'air du temps" if I don't sound too obscure (hahaha nice unintended pun). And indeed they have a peculiar relation to time and memory.
So they create terms such as "l'heure bleue" to say in a few words what really expresses both deep and thoughtful as well as fleeting and superficial emotions, shared in their complex nature by others, even though the true or underlying emotions or memories may be different. It's an easy way to relate and share.
Who doesn't have a thought or two looking at the skies at that magic moment? The evocative context is obvious.
Hence in the first part of the 20th century, it used to refer to the Paris used to be before WWI, to the affluent who traveled from one city to the other. It's also the name of a very famous Guerlain perfume (created in 1912), surfing on this specific wave and creating its own line of future fond and tender memories as well as evanescent and nostalgic ones.
