Description This one was captured during revisiting Kinbane Head (Northern Ireland) at my last Ireland trip after graduating from the University of Ulster in July 2009. Feel free to have a look at the previous shot Lonely... captured back in February 2009.

If you compare both versions you can clearly see how Ireland looks during summer compared to winter. I simply love these lush green tones

All your photos exactly look like the settings in a book about Australia I finished reading yesterday. That's magical!

I don't care, it looks like them :'D
The book's called "A prayer for Blue Delaney" it's really lovely, I suggest you to take a short look at it if you're an Australia-Fan

i used to live in ireland for 9 months and 1 month in australia, so i pretty much know that they are damn different
ok, then i'll give the book a shot when I shall find some time.

Oh, I didn't mean to say they're the same. I just think that the photos look like the places described in the book :')

It's a pity when things just get abandoned. The positive thing is that it gives a good photograph. xD nice!

hey thanks for sharing your opinion! i'm not sure about the composition either...

in-my-viewfinder In reply to da-phil [2010-09-26 12:55:19 +0000 UTC]

do you think you would have been able to shoot this portrait with the house and winch assembly at the top of the bottom 3rd? Its hard to tell in hindsight what it would be like

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

da-phil In reply to in-my-viewfinder [2010-09-26 14:03:05 +0000 UTC]

yeah it would have been possible but the rocks above the abandoned hut are not of special interest, that's the reason i choose this kind of composition. maybe another shooting angle could have helped to appropriately include the rocks above.

are you sure? did you use the fullview or the download version?
i'm quite sure that the blur you are referring to is due to the dA image scaling.
