The spectacular granite tor of the Cathedral (located in the Mount Buffalo national park, Australia) had a really majestic appearance in the first light of this very morning after being completely hidden in fog earlier. After a rather cold and foggy morning - with very limited sight - seeing and feeling this warm sunlight was pure bliss!

The alpine areas of Australia are interesting, as they are located at an impressively low elevation considering what lies below and almost never get extremely cold—for example, despite Mount Hotham having winter average high temperatures below freezing, its record low temperatures are on par with those of Central Florida (!!!)

Jup, in Down Under temperatures are pretty high all together, however in the Australian Alps they really have proper winter, also on Tasmania!
