Behold my first revisit to Assiniboine Park since before the very stringent measures/restrictions of the pandemic [2020-22].

Yes, this is an herb garden.
The Herb Garden, located just north of the Park entrance at Shaftesbury Blvd [and just past the Park's major crossroads !], was created in 1997 in cooperation with the Herb Society of Manitoba and features a wide variety of culinary and medicinal herbs in a traditional circular layout. Herb Society volunteers maintain the garden in cooperation with the Assiniboine Park Conservancy. A walk through the Herb Garden provides visitors with an inspirational, aesthetic and sensory space experience, as well as a means to see and learn about herbs.
But remember, each semi-circular section [one of which is pictured here] of the Herb Garden has a little sign in the ground, warning you NOT to pick the flowers and herbs!
