One of the few very large boulevard trees remaining on my street. Over the past four years we've had to give up three very large trees. Maybe because they didn't provide shade for the house they were fronting anyway. Maybe the homeowners didn't want to have to rake any more leaves. Maybe they wanted to be able to keep their houses warm in winter.... at the expense of being too hot in summer! Oh well....
I again figured I should keep photographing this one before it would inevitably have to be cut down, too. Or... maybe not?
Never mind, I've seen a couple of elder trees in my locale that are leaning the tree a mite too far, and I still fear the next severe storm might end up toppling either or both of themβwith an innocent motorist trapped underneath!
