Under all those hostile layers, I'd imagine they'd be pretty tight... after all, they have to survive their crazy, abusive mother together.
Old sketch that I felt like coloring. Somewhere along the line I made 'Tani way to small in comparison with Nuka.
Don't know why I'm always drawing TLK2 characters (while I'm more forgiving of it than most sequels... It still just doesn't live up to the first film IMO).... their stories/backstories are just so interesting to tamper with.

Except, I don't think there's any sign of Zira being abusive to Vitani, except at the very end of the movie when Vitani turns on her.
My guess is that Zira hates Nuka for being a weak cub who couldn't please Scar enough to get chosen as his heir.

I don't think Zira hates Nuka, she was very upset when he died and became that angry that she hit Kovu. Probably she didn't want Nuka king because he was a little, well, Nuka.

You can hate someone, but still feel sad when they die, especially if that someone is your own child. I've seen many times where the parent is abusive to their child, but they mourn more than anyone else when their child dies in an accident.
It clearly wasn't just about Nuka being or not being king, because she was highly aggressive towards him during other occasions, and even ignored him completely at times.

Besides, if the film takes place in Africa, they're names have to be African/Swahili, but I wouldn't choose Fluffy for an African animal.

i liked lion king 1 and 2 sequels were good a while back but ones today i can predict like i can read minds..which i can but i mean nothing makes me feel or gets me happy like stuff from when i was a kid...i cant tell if stuff in America is predictable either because they are forced to hold back good ideas..OR because nobody thinks good enough ideas

I think TLK2 is interesting because it's different. TLK was the original, it was vanilla. Vanilla is delicious, it's a classic, you can never do better than vanilla. But when you go to one of those "32 Flavors!" ice cream stands, you NEVER get vanilla. You get cherry-walnut-maple-crunch, or black-raspberry swirl! Something wacky-flavored and new, and kind of not *better* than just plain vanilla, but more interesting.
TLK2 is awesome because it opens new doors. All the old characters are there, but there's a bunch of new shiny ones too! And to me, TLK2 is appealing because of all those shiny new characters and stories.
Also, there's more angst. Honestly, TLK2 is more relatable, especially for youths. TLK 1: his father dies, he grows up in the jungle having fun, he battles his uncle and becomes king. I relate because........ Maybe my father died, if I am a small percent of kids?
TLK2: an emotionally abusive mother. Check, I relate. A forbidden romance? I may not directly relate but I fantasize about it all the time. An annoying brother? Check. An over-protective father? Check. Wanting to prove myself to be more than just a spoiled princess? Doesn't every middle-class suburban teenage girl? Feeling like I'm not accepted/wanting to be accepted? You bet I feel like Kovu sometimes!
TLK2 was just more emotionally charged and filled with relatable characters. so, don't feel badly about getting wrapped up in it and constantly fanarting it.
