Description
This town is my hometown in the suburb of Paris. A place I know by heart & by feet, a place out of space and time, between Paris and the countryside. Somewhere to dream about a still future, an absolute past and to travel to Zimbabwe !Photo: Saint Gratien-March 2007

Im a Zimbabwean displaced off my farm etc etc etc, im still living here and i love it!!! Politics doesnt make a country, people do...
If you do come to Zim there's this place you should visit called Mbare(pron: m-baa-re[sharp e]), its a shanty settlement in Harare City. There's a group of flats that would make amazing pictures especially in a similar genre as this pic.. Dont go there with anything flash, its crime central almost. No word of a lie the "salesmen" will steal your rims off your car and sell them back to you...

I'll remember your advice ! the street on this picture is near from my home in the suburb of Paris, it still looks like some little town in the 60's I like that !

Ok the political situation only really effects the politicians, journalists and people regarded as "terrorists." If you're a tourist you'll be fine.. Its like living in an amazing menagerie of art culture and economics.. Eclectic is a good word for Zim.. Find out from you're ambassadors that have left here what its like.. I love it and every artist and photographer would go unaccomplished if they did not capture the essence of this country...

Oh yes because I love music & rhythms ! this picture is a visual between Claude Debussy, The Velvet Underground and some unknown French rap band's music !
