This Picture is the result of a collaboration between Tatalia and me.
At the begining it's a Tatalia's Selfportrait published on her gallery in a reframed black and White version @: [link] called "Me thinker". She sent me the original colour version of it.With Tatalia's agreement I retouched, sculpted the picture and reworked all the style and design. I spent 24 hours on 3 days to finished it...and I'm really proud of my rework on this excellent selfportrait !In the next days I'll publish a Tutorial and you'll understand a lot more my Rework on this Selfportrait.
So this is the result ! I hope you'll like it like I like it myself ! tell me !

Great piece and Tatalia really has a beautyfull and interesting face.
Everything is just great about this and I have a thing for this kind of brown color!
I also watched the animation-tutorial by the way. It's really nice and gives you a good view of how you made this, but if you're unfamiliar with photoshop then you have no idea what tools you're using..

Yes I know it's not a traditionnal Photoshop Tutorial ! it's more a "creative making of" ! like a very hidden bonus track on a CD you know ! I have my little secrets on Photoshop !

Very nicely done - I like the colors and the style of it. I'm sensing that there is some meaning to the patten that is
is in her hair - being distorted by the bends, but I can't quite figure it out.

About Tatalia's hair and my rework on it...her face is quiet and still...her hair are lively and free, I think they have their independant life, I think during the night our hair can dance in the air ! I love to sculpt pictures but it was impossible to change the shape or details on her face ! so I reworked a lot on her hair ! it's also a great lesson to know how to rework hair on Photoshop !

Yes, working with hair in Photoshop is good to know! I'm spending a lot of time on my Photoshop painting on just the hair, since it's so challenging and so important! I got a lot of tips from =cosmosue . She has a resource account with a great hair tutorial at ~cosmos-Resources , plus I chat with her on IM and I've gotten more pointers that way.

To work with air is not so hard but you need a lot of time, to be very patient and precise ! on my rework on the "Tatalia"'s Selfportrait I spent maybe 10 hours only on her hair ! I sculpt them with the ""fluidity" tool on Photoshop CS !

Thanks a lot for your comment ! this picture is a mix of several different cultures ! Scandinavian, Arabic and many different things I saw and Remember ! "Organic" ? maybe something under water but in a very hot country !
virtual images yes It's possible ! In fact I used a lot of Fonts ! one font is called "Braille" like the blind's letter you know...so there's a secret message writing in the middle of this picture !

yes i understand how u work... i used to work the same way. but now i think a lot even before i go ahead and setup my shots. i try to imagine the look and feel of the photograph before i capture it. then i work towards it.
so in a way i do the same thing as u... i see with my heart and soul.. and then i work on it slowly

I use to prepare a lot my photo sessions and series ! but now I prefer to be free to create, I feel less anxious and more spontaneous !
But it's also clear that I work for myself, for pleasure ! if I had to work on an Order tomorrow I think I'll think a lot about what to do and how to do it !

well the easiest example is when i am working on a photograph and talking to amrita at the same time. i feel intensely for both... and i tend to give equal attention to wt i am doing and wt amrita is saying bcoz often amrita wuld be discussing some very serious issue with me over which shee needs my advice or opinion.
at other times i would be programming on my laptop, reading up on some technical papers and listening to music.
i often used to cook and study at the same time
just normal things in life... more intense things... i prefer doing them one at a time.

Oh I see ! For me it's hard to work on a Picture and talking at the same time on the phone ! but if the person is at home I can work on the computer at the same time ! Like you I listen a lot of music and to work at the same time ! but I want to write text or a Post for my French Weblog I need the silence !
Often I have Friend calling me during the night ...and I like very much to see a movie at the same time !
I like very much the example of: "Cooking and study at the same time" it's the opposite for me ! if I think about the picture I'm working on I can do silly things Like to put the sugars in the Freezer !
