Description

Sad news hearing about the passing of artist Tim Sale; his work on the Batman series (the most famous of which is undoubtedly The Long Halloween, although he did so much more before and since then) was a huge influence on me in the beginning of my comics career and his take on the classic villains were some of the most creative and memorable. This is my tribute to two of the best of them, the Scarecrow and the Mad Hatter.

I never got a chance to meet Tim but by all accounts I've heard he was a cool guy and will remain one of the industry's most beloved artists.
