The whole concept behind this is just as good as the execution. The colouring adds a great depth and sense of organic growth. The idea of eternal torture, and this apparent God of nature being nailed by steel to his own destroyed creation is an extreme sense of agony. I love the style, feels very organic and tribal, and the story behind it intrigues me deeply. I would like to read the tale of what brought him to this curse, or even writing it myself. I just desperatly want to know.

the tale never really existed.. I just liked the basic idea of the punishment and never bothered to think of a reason :S Tho I'd really enjoy it if you gave it a try

incredible work. I think I like the black and white version just as much as this one. It woulda been great left black and white as well. The creativity put into this is astonishing. The natural aspect of the whole thing and the living tree that is abnormally living with human features is neat. Was he one of the poor souls who lost his stump due to a man made saw? One that was treated poorly and now he suffers to try to be put back together? Him being tied down to another tree is almost ironic and perhaps sad. Lovely drawing, definitely worth the Daily Dev.
