Description Errm... For winning the second Byako Round Robin Tournament. For putting forth nothing short of her best and inspiring us with her stories to achieve greater heights. It is my great pleasure to present Mangakawa with this humble gift of art. *Applause*

...

This is the first of 4 pieces of gift art owed to the top 4 contestants of the BRR2 as of its conclusion.

Not that I needed an excuse to draw one of Mangakawa's fantastic characters. Everyone one of them is chock-full of personality and absolutely likeable. It was a great pleasure to try my hand at Crispin again, and I only hope I was able to do him some justice.

Enjoy!

Hot DAMN.

This is GREAT! Oh my gosh! The whole thing is so quintessentially Crispin- the pose, the expression, that ridiculous shaggy hairstyle-- and you draw his scythe better than I do! Even the background suits him perfectly, and I absolutely love how it's got this fantastic old-fashioned poster look to it. And now I so completely HAVE to steal how you notched up the blade. Heheheheh.....

My gosh man, I owe you big-time for this. THANK YOU SO MUCH~! <3

It was very much my pleasure to do this for you!

I thought that dreary cityscape background was the perfect fit given Crispin's occupation. And the notches in his blade... to be honest it seemed perfectly natural to me at the time I drew them. I mean, it's a gnarly old scythe. It's bound to have collected a few battle scars during it's service.
