Description
  A low murmur was all she had ever heard. Voices discussing, and eventually arguing. Then she began to feel. She could feel the smooth coolness of the glass around her. She also began to feel her home shaking and a muffled alarm sounding. Then her eyes formed. Two simple black dashes on a formless mass of slime. She moved them around her mass to look at her surroundings. A human was running away with her containment jar! She could do nothing to stop the man's escape, so she simply got acquainted with her surroundings, bleak as they were. White walls, grey floors. A turn, a turn, a run down the steps, and a door was within sight. Her captor rushed towards the door and busted it open, escaping with her.

  The man kept running with her until a law enforcement officer yelled at the man. The man stopped and hesitated for a moment before dropping her jar, shattering it on the hard ground below. Cold air assaulted her. She tried to escape, and managed to sneak away before entering a house. A red sign in front was illegible to her, but she associated the color with warmth and approached the house. She slipped in under the door, still merely a puddle.

  The inside was more detailed than her previous home. Rough cloth was on the ground. Wood was used on the floor. Frames full of vivid color were on the walls. A strange structure was near the wall in one of the rooms. Raised platforms of wood and shorter ones around them. Large cushions and structures covered with fabric. Everything was colorful and vivid to her, and the air was considerably warmer than the outside. This place was her home now.

  She explored for a time before getting to the strange structure. It had a black surface on a glossy structure, and was thin but wide. There was a box with a light glowing brightly on it. She climbed up the table on which it was set, entered the box and found that she could look through it to what seemed like another world, far more formatted and flat. She browsed through this world and found aspects which she identified as acceptable bodily standards. She learned several common human languages. She even started pondering the human concept of names. Once she finished, she exited the machine back onto the floor. She searched for a moisture source and found a faucet, switching it on and absorbing the water, multiplying her mass. Soon she went from two liters of slime to enough to overflow a large bath tub three times.

  After carefully exiting the sink and fully integrating the new mass into her body, she began to form herself into an average shape. First the head- a pair of antennae-like sensory organs and similar structures made up the horns and hair. A snoutlike shape formed on the front of her face. Then the shoulders and bust, then the waist and butt, then finally the legs and tail. Noticing that there was more than three quarters of her mass simply unused and pooling on the floor, she pondered what she could do to alleviate this issue. Then it came to her. She had seen things in that machine that were beyond what seemed like standard humanoid proportions, and while it would provide difficulty with maneuvering, she felt that it would be worth it to prevent so much excess from going to waste.

  She allocated the extra mass to various parts of her body, but primarily her butt and thighs. She felt big, but she felt stronger than before in this new form. Running through her memories of what she recently learned was called the Internet, and discerned the function of what humans called a "couch." She approached it and sat down, carefully maneuvering her behind as to not harm anything in the room. The couch groaned in distress under her weight. She took a moment to adjust to the softness of the surface, and nestled herself onto it, with her backside fitting snugly between the armrests.

Hours passed with the dragonlike slime pondering the nature of her new home. An odd clicking noise came from the entrypoint of the house and it opened, a flood of daylight entering the house as a well-dressed man walked in, escorting what the slime could assume was a mated pair.
  "And here it is! As you know, single floor, but in excellent condition and... er..." the man paused as he saw the slime. He didn't believe his eyes."Er... I may have to direct you to another house another day, I need to take care of this." One of the two in the couple nodded and the other escorted them out. The well-dressed man stayed behind and approached her.

  "Just what are you?" She understood the words perfectly. She tried to speak, but couldn't. She lacked the organs to do so. The man let out an exasperated groan. "At least get off of the couch so I can assess the damage." She complied, revealing what seemed like it'd be lasting damage to the couch. The man sighed. "You want this house?" She nodded. "Fine. I'll take it off of the listing. I will make absolute sure that you earn your keep, however. Hm..." the man stroked his chin for a moment. "Perhaps you could be our mascot. We need an edge in the market, and having just a logo is only hurting us. In exchange for being our mascot, you can live here undisturbed. Are these terms acceptable?" She nodded. "Right, then. And your name is...?" She shrugged. "Well, we need a name for you. What about something like Vee?" She pondered the name for a moment. Vee. It had a nice ring to it and was simple enough. She nodded. "Alright, Vee it is. I'll get some entertainment systems in here shortly and schedule some photoshoots. Welcome home." Vee nodded in thanks. If she had any vocal cords, she'd request a more durable couch as well.
