These shiny and reflective knights were for the longest time a total mystery as no one knew where they came from as they wandered the worlds. They were and still are formidable combatants especially to mages for the spells they use seem to be effective against magic users. It was discovered that these knights are automatons as when one for the first time was defeated and slain the armor was found to be empty. These suits of armor were infused with the soul of a person much like the phantom knights of old only the truth of these knights is most depraved as these knights were made by the Sable Holy Empire of the Belfry, which explains the miracles they’re able to use. The process of making these knights is similar to how the phantom knights of old were in that the person undergoes a ritual that curses them to rise as an undead skeletal knight, in ancient times to become one of these knights was seen as a great honor for they were employed to guard anything they were instructed to protect till someone strong enough came along to defeat them and set free from their servitude. But the people that were used were often unwilling and forced to become these monsters via a dark ritual miracle that bound the soul of the unwilling individual to the armor giving it life, these poor individuals were likely slaves they randomly took to make into the mage hunting knights.

This theocratic empire of human supremacists constructed these wandering killing machines to hunt down and slay mages for they see magic as a heretical and profane thing with only divine magic or the mortal and human word for it miracles being the only exception meaning casting anything other than but miracles near these knights will earn their ire and will be relentlessly pursued by them till either they kill you or you kill them. The Bell of Dark, the Black-Ops Brigade of the S.H.E.B were responsible for releasing these monstrosities out into the worlds. The armor of these knights is made of a rare reflective and magic canceling alloy called Hewbrite, the alloy is as strong as steel and like gold never rusts. Hewbrite naturally absorbs and cancels out magic making magical attacks against them almost completely ineffective leaving only physical attacks a viable option.

The armor and shield of these knights are able to deflect magical attacks and shield can even reflect them back at the sender. The shield also has a dark miracle woven into it that when desired the knight holds up its shield facing it at an opponent that creates a ghost and mirror-like humanoid made of a reflective material that climbs out of the shields mirror, the ghost is a clone of the person or thing it’s fighting that engages foes on its behalf. The healing miracles of the knight can also heal these aiding summons and whatever magic or abilities the person the clone is modeled after can do, the clone can do, they may also fight in the same manner and style. Whatever weapons the person uses the clone will appear forth with them, this dark miracle is called “Sinister Reflection”. These Mirror Knights are truly powerful and deadly foes that will not be easily slain and the best of luck if you meet one and you happen to be a mage.

Known Miracles:

Grand Holy Light- Fully heals.

Grand Regeneration- Miracle that casts a very large AoE that slightly recovers more health of those within range.

Grand Faithful Spear- Hurls a greater black and golden spear, being much more powerful it can outright penetrate all armors. The faith required for this one is even greater and those who can conjure this power are respected for they have a faith that is not easy to achieve.

Holy Barrier- A golden divine magical shield that covers the casters body fully protecting them from all damage. The caster will not be harmed until the shield is destroyed. Coincidentally when struck by an attack the shield makes a sound reminiscent of a bell toll seeing as the belfry empire created this miracle and that bells and chimes are prominent objects and images within the empire.

Judgement- A dark miracle that inflicts great pain before instantly killing its victim.

Blessed Weapon- Can bless any weapon with divine magic to deal great damage and as a minor benefit the spell passively but slowly regenerates the weapon wielders health. The spell causes the weapon to have a brilliant golden glow.

Grand Enrapture- Deals greater damage and has a wider AoE.

Silence- A miracle that was devised for combating magic users. The spell functions similarly to Magic Jamming but inflicts great crippling pain on the caster for its duration. The crippling pain is meant into incapacitate mages allowing for Belfry knights to easily slay them.

True Oath of the Bell- The most powerful version of “Oath of the Bell” that greatly reduces damage and greatly increases the casters attack power.

Baneful Blessing- Caster prays to conjure a damaging AoE around a target. This spell is among the “dark miracles” albeit the lesser of them but still as dangerous as a lurking and prowling evil spirit. Coincidentally this miracle does more damage to non-humans.

Trivia:
The knights mirror shield can be broken though it is difficult to do so but if achieved the knight will no longer be able to use “Sinister Reflection”. If its mirror shield is destroyed it will enter a berserk state where it will attack faster and its power is increased however it will be weaker though its increased strength will make it harder to finish off as the first ones who destroyed one of these monstrosities learned first hand.
