My childhood fears were basements at night time and the Red Eyed Monster that visited me outside my window.

I actually used to have a really crippling fear of witches when I was young. I have no idea where it came from -- I was especially afraid of the witch in Snow White but I don't feel like that was the source -- but it plagued many of my nights one particular year as a kid.
