This is beautiful work! This painting of the character really does look just like Zelena (Rebecca Mader) from the actual show. I love the bright, pink, and mocking evil sneer of a smirk on her face. Her sea blue eyes against her emerald green skin is contrasts in a way that brings them out in a vivid way that's very similar to the character to the character Zelena's eyes do on the show when she has green skin.
Personally, I absolutely _hate_ Zelena as a character, and I feel like she hasn't made a good villain since her initial appearance in 3B, and return in 4B. However, I think that the actress, Rebecca Mader does a great job with the role, making the character utterly sadistic, maniacal, and easily hateworthy. I just feel the character has been more of a nuisance than a real threat, or an even remotely sympathetic or three-dimensional villain.

And something else interesting. "Zelena". Do you know, in Bulgarian language, the adjective zelen, зелен, means.. "green"! And since we have gender of the words, the female of zelen is zelena!
So, she really is Zelena and "green"!

I think the reason why they invented yet another new identity for the Wicked Witch of the West was because the other reimaginations of the character are neither in the public domain nor owned (in part or in full) by ABC or Disney, and the original version must have seemed too boring to them.
