The Lament -3- //>

Following the release of the test subjects under her care, it is now apparent that Doctor A. Dezhnyov continued the experimental cybernetics project responsible for the creation of the Lament. Due to the destruction of the research facility and corruption of the data records, we were not able to determine at the time if Dr. A Dezhnyov had actually survived.

The proof to Dr. A Dezhnyov's survival was only revealed in security footage during the loss of the dreadnought "His Teeth" while it was undergoing repairs. Infrared surveillance reports from orbiting satellites reveal that Dr. A Dezhnyov was accompanied by at least 104 individuals, possibly more. Inaccuracies in actual numbers are due to the particularity difficult nature of detecting Hand cultist infrared signatures.

The presumed survival of the crew present on-board the dreadnought at the time is highly suspect, due to complete absence of distress signals or communications aside from one, sent just before its departure from the system.

"We are the Lament. We speak for those who have no voice. The time for our race's rebirth is upon us. Do not stop us, do not hunt us. You will not find us. We will find you, and Aten-suul shall awaken at last."

Needless to say, the fact that the Lament now posses a dreadnought and a sizable parasite fleet, we have a threat that we need to deal with as quickly, and quietly as possible.
