It seems people really liked the remake of New Mumbai. It's been by far the most popular thing I've posted across the past year, in just about any platform I linked it on. So it felt like another one was in order, though not a remake this time but covering a world previously referred to in the Crumpleverse: Asterion.

Asterion's already had Crumpleverse material for some time, but in the process of writing the main text for this I felt an opportunity arise- Asterion had previously been referred to as the source of various interstellar cultural movements, and a place of ceaseless innovation in response to a perceived 'generic' origin. But living cultures are not fossils; just because a society develops a strong focus in one period does not mean that it will remain that way forever, or that they will not seek to re-evalute themselves after time passes. This was something I felt was important, because the Crumpleverse does set out to examine the 'planet of hats' trope in wider sci fi, and a negative aspect of that trope I've always found is cultures permanently acquiring their particular hat.
