Finally finished my half of my trade with . We agreed to do a fanart trade featuring characters from the Spyro franchise, with her drawing the Sorceress and me drawing Gulp. What I didn't know is that I can't flipping draw Gulp. I wanted to do him in my style but I had no idea how to make him look like himself with more explainable anatomy. Also I don't know how to draw zappy back cannons. So I made a few false starts, even halfway finished one of them, and finally came up with this. I threw in a little bit of atmosphere/background to help make up for how long my half took. @_@ I made the size difference between Spyro and Gulp greater since I think it increases the drama.Anyways, here's Kimbia's half. Super grand, breathtakingly epic. OoO
I love the increased difference in size between Spyro and Gulp, it adds a flair of epicness. The way the dust from the arena's floor is highlighted by what seem like only a few giant windows, while while draping everything else in a smooth coat of shadow makes it seem like the battle is taking place in a creepy, abandoned-looking dungeon. An awe-inspiring painting.

I have no idea how you managed to do those little zappy charge balls so well.Β I really like your spin on this guy! He's still delightfully burly and chubby and I love his tiny little tail ahhh.Β The little Spyro silhouette-thing is an AWESOME touch as well! Amazing job!

Oh I don't plan to stop making Spyro art any time soon. The franchise may have gone in a different direction but I don't see any reason to stop enjoying and honoring the original series.
