Introducing Rowan, my newest Pouflon! He's very much a work in progress but so far I'm thinking he'll be a traveling artist. He's reserved, fancy, observant, and has hair that makes you think he'd be in a boy band. I find him oddly challenging to draw so I did this little character study to get acquainted with him and I think it really helped! He's probably going to be drawn facing the left a lot until I get better at drawing his luscious locks. :vΒHere's the original design by !

In other news I'm at the beach. Man oh man do I like the beach. My family comes down to the same part of Florida every year for a family reunion and this year my in-laws came as well! :>

Aw what a cutie! Rowan's a bit of a wanderer but he may pass by wherever your guy lives from time to time! Does this pouf have the floret trait? I thought the horns had to be Bambi-esque for that but this looks really cool.

I'm so glad you like his color palette! I was a total pain and couldn't make up my mind what I wanted but Ronnie managed to come up with this awesome combination in spite of me haha. :'D And yeah I can totally see that! I'm gonna think of cheesecake whenever I see him now haha.

Your lines and subtle shading, so gorgeous! You have such a talent for drawing characters consistently at all kinds of views and angles, it makes them really come to life.

Thank you very much! Gosh I'm glad you think so, I always wonder if people will find these character studies interesting since they're pretty much entirely for my own benefit. I feel like they're a good way for me to get acquainted with a new character, especially if I'm not super comfortable with their design yet.

I know, you're totally right. I used to be a lot worse about drawing things I thought people wanted to see rather than what I want to make. (I still struggle with that impulse but I've improved tremendously.) I'm a work in progress haha. :'D

its okey though they dont need to be friends so to speak, enemies/frenemies/rivals - etc is just fine.Β
i like having 'negative' relationships as well as positive ones. i feel it helps the characters grow, but maybe thats just me? : oΒ

I know what you mean! I feel the same way, though I'm pretty bad about developing those relationships/personalities for most of my characters I've found it's actually a lot of fun with my poufs. :> I can see some possible future interactions with your poufs for sure, especially Ezra (but Plume as well.)

oh goodness yeah!! :^ ) i think it helps alot that the world / scenery is all planned out,
the prompts/quests help IMMENSELY like theres a base for where my pouf is and the surroundings all help them
develop and grow and ??? theres so much STORY involved with pouflons and gosh i love them so much ;^;;
i wanted to know if i was able to draw him for prompts at some times? ofc i would note / msg u about my idea before hand,
and probably send wips along the way!
