My favorite moment in that whole film, the moment that made me go "wow," is when all hell is breaking lose and he sends the armor to her.

Agreed. It was the single most incredible and most romantic thing in the whole movie. Even though he's a mess (mentally and emotionally) at this point in time, she's top priority. So either it's really love or he's decided to take responsebility for the crap he did.
Also loved this (i.e. the one in the pic) scene, where she finds the helmet afterwards and just... gah. Tear jerker!
