I like the composition. The open space above the bird really makes it look as if he could fly away at any second.

Thank You! I appreciate that you took notice of the fact that I composed the photo with the bird in the bottom third! Could ya' cut me some slack on not being "Tack Sharp" I was attempting to use my 80 - 200mm 2.8 auto focus Brick...oops I mean Lens! Oh how I wish that I had my tripod at that time!

Well, for a no-tripod capture I have to say it is awesome!
Actually I am not that strict about sharp... My equipment is not as near to professional as I would like it to be, so I am more than familiar with not getting the results I usually long for.
(I hope my English is not killing what I am trying to say).
I use a Canon Powershot A620. That means 7.3 - 29.2mm... and auto focus is the only way to focus with this camera if you have in mind that its "manual" focus option is not really manual...
Now that I think about it, I seriously wish I had a Canon Digital Rebel XTi 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera
But back on topic, your pic is great! And I mean it
