how hard is it to needle tat with that metallic thread? I tried tatting with gold crochet thread and it was nearly impossible to get it through.

it was quite hard at first. I had taken few tries before I've start feel it and I've got a little more proficiency. Main problem is that metallic thread gets tangled very easy and resolving knots is extremely difficult so you need to be careful all the time. It breaks pretty easily especially when you try to untangled it... but ready tatted element is much more durable
