Commissioned piece for ~egmccann of his character Aurora Chase from The City of Heroes ™ MMORPG. And before anyone starts posting "Tracer! Tracer!", yes, the line art of the Mustang Boss 302 she's sitting on [requested by the commissioning party] was traced by me from a picture found on the internet.
The colors are all me, using a number of 302 images as reference.

Umm... I dont really think Greg Land traces though (even though i've heard people say that). I do know (cause he said so,) That he uses Photo-references...

There's a difference between photo-referencing and tracing. I admit I photo-reference for poses, and yes Greg Land does that [very proficiently, I might add] as well among other great artists.
I'll let this infamous blog tell the argument and I will stop at that. You be the judge.

Don't let anybody try to make you look bad just cause you traced a car, cause either way you put alot of work into it and you drew everything else!

Great job...I miss playing that game...all my heroes and villians are just sitting there waiting. Espically my main hero that I always played as the most...I was getting closer to getting to level 15...where I would have finally be able to give him the actual flying ability so he wouldn't have to use the lame hover one anymore. But playing that game costs money and right now I just haven't been able to afford it. Though when Champions online comes out next year...I'll be playing the heck out of that..oh yeah can't wait. ^^

Hey, anyone who would accuse you of wrongdoing, they can't imagine that all the photo-accurate real-world objects in comics were drawn freehand by the artists, can they? Sure, some can, but not many. The fact that you bothered to trace it and color it yourself instead of using a photomanipulation is proof that you were dedicated to artistic quality and credibility in the image.
And on that note, great work!

Traced or not, it's still an impressive job on that car. Of course, not that it matters. It's merely a suppliment to the main focus of the image, which is the lady sat on it.

I'm not sure how Greg Land does it, but if you're gonna draw a specific car from a certain pic requested by the commissioner, well then - I don't see anything wrong with it either
