A paradox reality inside your head,
Time losing significance but nevertheless
It remains a constant intangible mess,

My name is Lain and here I've been hurled
Ever since the suicide of that girl,
She only left us in the physical world
And remains alive somewhere yet unfurled,

The Navi is my connection beyond the grave
To this girl that omnipotence couldn't save
Thirst and hunger she'll now never crave
Whilst within the Wired's gates she braves

But she's not the only one who searched
For the god in the Wired of this Earth
Many others have been condemned and cursed
With madness acting upon spontaneous bursts

Even I didn't know what was happening then
Real events and dreams started to blend
I was confused with life, over and over again
And realized upon nothing could i depend

I was lost for a long time within this maze
Of incoherent thoughts lighting ablaze
My mind with an ultimately twisted daze
Until finally I saw clear through this haze

The connections between reality are severed
And only one will fully have remembered
A time when both of the worlds had trembled
When I, Lain, had ruled over the present

But now no one has memory of events
To that dreadful time where God repents
But never shall he be released again
To control me with malevolence

No, the world will remain free of supreme beings
And continue on with their own transparent believing
I'll remain hidden in the background overseeing
That Arisu lives happily onwards for eternities
