Description
This week I was happy to spend some time again on a more detailed piece. It's always rewarding to finish one of those. I did take an extra step in the painting process where I first rendered the scene roughly in greyscale to get the values right. Whenever I do this, it seems to benefit the final product, so I should probably do it more often. In this case I am very happy with the finished work.

So good on so many levels, from the lighting to her expression to the texture of her clothes to the gorgeous scenery to the shadowy summonings. The kind of piece you can lose yourself in.
