I'm sorry for not checking all of your beautiful deviations, guys. ;A; Once I log on to the computer it's hard to log off, and so I can't do my homework unless I abstain! //sob/
OH EM GEE *somewhat proud of herself*
IT'S MAH FIRST (second actually, but the first time wasn't serious XD ) TIME USING REAL SCREENTONES. IT WAS REALLY FUN EVEN THOUGH IT SOON BECAME A PAIN.
I had to trace out stuff with pencil, cut with scissors, paste, and erase, since I don't have that special knife thingy ohoho anyways that way seems harder. Does anyone know what a burnisher is? (I sure don't 8'D )
Anyways, the screentones were reaaaally expensive (try 9.95 a sheet D'B ) So I just cut little corners of the sheet for this picture. Surprisingly, a little goes a long way~ 8DD But I didn't want to waste more by toning his body. XD

Hahaha, real screentones. After reading tutorials on how to use them, I reached out for Photoshop and made my own screentones XD. GO DIGITAL SCREENTONES!
not to mention that screentones supposedly have carcinogenic materials in them. Then again, everything causes cancer so :/
I think a burnisher is just something to flatten out all the air bubbles under the screentone. You can just use a spoon.
I think you can use a box cutter in place of an x-acto knife, iirc.

(for some reason, I never saw the second half of your reply about the burnisher and shiz on Internet Explorer. Stupid IE 
And btw, yeah, the burnisher's used for taking out any little microscopic air pockets, because the air pockets will affect how your comic looks in print, I think.
Stationary packet things? I only recall getting a pre-made stationary set as my birthday gift from my cousin >_>

I remember using Elements in middle school. I was like "NOOOO WHERE'S THE GODDAMN PEN TOOL" and all that crap. At that time I already had Photoshop, and no I did not fork over 600 bucks for it.
YES IT IS RIGHT? When I saw that tutorial, I jumped around dancing, then went straight to applying that tutorial to PS. It works like magic!
