Actually I like this one the best out of your gallery concerning colours. They're vibrant and wonderfully done. The hair and streaks of light are incredible if you ask me. If you use a mouse, I'm even more impressed. I rather like your current style of colouring, it fits rather well with your style of drawing.
But anyways, I'm not quite clear as to what you mean when you say 'solid colouring'. Do you mean you want to change your style of colouring? Like Cell shading or something?

'Ello! I must point out that in the comic there is no ground in this scene, they're traveling between dimensions, all that's there is water and floating orbs of light.

Yeah. It's really disheartening. But I've found if I get myself together and post a comic I feel like making as many as I can before life catches back up.
Eh. Nope. Constant headache, nonstop migraine for 5 months. OTL

That's a good way to look at it, really. Do it when you enjoy, otherwise what would be the point, hmm?
My sessions usually run three or four months at a time. The worst was '98, with 10 months of OMGWTFBBQ pain. But after a while I learned to manage it, focus out the pain, and at least be able to function in daily tasks. Just gotta keep moving forward...

Exactly!
Wow. I never really got headaches before. And for a while the were debilitating. My neurologist gave me meds, but they don't work. No meds I've tried have. He doesn't actually know why I get them, and is really confused because I have minimal stress.

They tried to give me pain killers for it. Fiorinal is the Devil Incarnate! One pill, three days of withdrawals! After that, I started to work on my meditation again. Rationalizing the pain helped me to push it aside so I could function.
One thing that triggers mine is weather changes. When a storm is about 20 minutes away, the pain starts building. Actually found that earplugs help, just like how some people use them for flying to control the pressure changes.
Heh. I have found so many triggers over the years... food, stress, colors, sound. Just keeping a diary of sorts of what you do/eat/experience each day can help to narrow down possible causes. (Though it gets to be a PIA after a while. lol)

Eh... I'm on amitriptyline. I started at half a pill. But it hasn't worked and he upped it many times so now I'm at 8 times my original dose and I take 4 pills. Not withdrawal symptoms. And no worky.
My other doctor tried some other things and none of them work. Basic meds like acetaminophen don't work either.
No trigger as far as we can tell. They're always there. Any moment of the day people will ask and I'll be like, "Yeah, it hurts. Still." And it just hasn't stopped in 5 months. I do keep a calendar of my days and the neurologist thinks I should be fine.

Hmm... I did a bunch of research over the years, trying to figure out my own triggers. I think food tends to be the main one people think of, or allergies. One that many people, and doctors, miss is dental. One little cavity or abscess, sometimes a tooth pressing just right on a nerve, and Pow! Instant migraine.
But with the whole transferal of pain problem, a nerve trigger could be anywhere in your body. And most insurance companies wont pay for someone to check out every little detail, millimeter by millimeter.
I've been lucky enough to figure out some food triggers. Carmel coloring is one, and it is everywhere. Potatoes is another, though it is a seasonal thing. Every year, the genetic make up of potatoes are tweaked a little bit. Some years I am fine, others I have one french fry and I am curled up in a ball in the corner wishing I was dead. lol
As long as I can still laugh, I am doing okay. It's strange. I become a much happier, cheery person during the attacks. Miserable, but I don't like to have people treat me with kids gloves, so I keep a happy (with an occasional grimace) face on.

We've been trying and trying to find what triggers it. We went to the dentist, he said that everything was perfectly fine. The optometrist said I was noticing the discrepancy between my eyes, and that my right eye was just a slight bit better than my left and that they had the same prescription, but they said it shouldn't make my cause this at all.
And the lack of ideas for triggers is why I still have this problem. I don't need to worry about the insurance.
I see my allergist every six months and he hasn't noticed any changes in my allergies, except that they're really well controlled by the meds he's prescribed. I haven't acquired any new ones. Ugh, Potatoes? That's kind of sad... I love potatoes.
Yeah, I'm very good at that, when I tell people that I've had horrible headaches for five months they're really surprised, and most people just brush it off because I've been acting completely normal. Although I've always been recognized as an exhuberentl happy person.

Here is a link to the Mayo Clinic website you might find helpful. [link]
I have what is called Cluster Headaches. For decades it was grouped in with migraines, but it is finally getting its own category for treatment. Over the years, I've found it easier to explain it to people by just calling them migraines, even though it is kind of a different bird... Still hurts like h3ll during the attacks.
There is a ton of information on that site. Hopefully it will give you some ideas to bring up with your doctors that they hadn't considered yet. Mayo also has lots of medical articles that are a good read, and plenty of links and such. Probably the best resource I have found yet. (And I've been looking for almost 20 years now...)
What kinds of triggers have you ruled out so far, aside from dental and optical? Does anything seem to help, even a little? (Always looking for new ideas to make the pain manageable.)
Yeah, Spuds 'O DOOM! lol Every year, they selectively breed better potatoes to make them yield more and be more pest and disease resistant. Unfortunately, that means every year the new crop has a little bit of a different make up, and can cause reactions in some people. I just have to watch out for the warning signs that I am having a reaction, and take them out of my diet for a while.

Discrepancies in the grey matter? There was a couple of bits of new information I saw on Mayo, and part of it was studies actually isolating areas of the brain that are most likely where the pain signals are coming from. Included in that are, yes, discrepancies around those points, that may be causing the problems.
Science has moved so far along since I was diagnosed. I was given one option: Find a pain killer that works and try to live with it. Of course, the only one that did work, they pulled off the market a few years later. Seeing that new research gives me a little bit more hope that others won't have to go through what I have...
A headache proof potato... One can dream. lol. Now if only they could make a red tomato that I can eat without my stomach trying to kill me. I miss Italian food...

You know, that is something that always bugs me with doctors. "There is something not right there. Let's try the test again in three months and see if it still there."
Um, hello? I'm sick now, why not do it again sooner? Why wait so long??? lol
*sigh* Been poked, prodded, bled, and violated by the medical establishment far too often, it seems...

I think that they do it because A) they have no idea what is going on, and B) they are hoping the problem will fix itself.
Last summer, I developed costochondritis. I was sent to see specialists for heart (Perfectly fine) and lungs (I have 125% of the lung capacity of an average person, even when I was having issues breathing), had x-rays and exams, and they couldn't figure anything out. It wasn't until I started looking on line for the symptoms that I found other people with the same problem. And just by luck, one forum had a posting from a nurse suggesting the person ask their doctor about costochondritis. And so, two months later when I went back in for my next check up, I told Dr Z about it. I don't think he was expecting the patient to tell him what was wrong, what the treatment procedures were, etc. lol
It's fun to tweak the PHDs every now and then.
So, if you ever get depressed or frustrated about it, start looking for more information outside of your doctor. Having something to discuss with him/her, be it possible theories or causes or treatments, will give you more control over it all and may possibly give the doctors an idea to follow.
Trust, but verify. Trust what your doctor says is true, but always verify the information with a third party.
When my headaches started, I was friends with an RN. She gave me more information that any doctor had,as well as more options and methods for controlling and coping with the pain. When I told her this, she half joking/half seriously told me " That is why they are called a PRACTICING physician. They are still learning things as they go."

Of course not, no negative thoughts whatsoever!

heh. I usually try to measure my words to have only one meaning. Try to avoid confusion by eliminating room for interpretation.
Doesn't always work, though...

I do it to mess with people's minds. I usually have a primary meaning that's the point I want to get across, and a secondary meaning that I believe, but would make no sense with the context.
