i wanted to make fanart of one of my fav gishki monsters, well i play with gishki deck. here is gishki ariel, i like how the pic turned even if the background is basic and my magic circles kind of failsgishki erial/ariel by: Yugioh (Konami)

so you play Gishki? I'm trying to gather the cards for a Gishki Ritual deck myself how well do they run?

i still play gishki, it used to run good but lately with the newest banlist that came to the tcg i lost monster reborn, shock master, heavy storm and lots of staples. so far the only variants that aren't dead in the current format are the lvl 8 field control one and the zielgigas otk, this banlist killed the ftk variant and the hieratic-gishki variant. but at least the 4 most annoying cards that hurts the deck which are thunder king rai-oh, macro cosmos, erradicator epidemic virus and dimensional fissure got limited making the search and possibly the otk more easier. i still need to edit my deck and test it but it's quite hard to find a replacement for heavy storm and monster reborn.

yea the new list is bull we have almost no universal monster revive power anymore. plus I was hoping they would limit Grapha,Dragon lord of the Dark world because it's way too strong a guy I play with at the local tournaments uses a dark world deck with 3 of them, painful choice and a bunch of other discard power when we do traditional and even in adv format he can pull multiple copies out in the first couple turns. it should be limited to one in my opinion but it got nothing and we lose heavy storm and monster reborn? I call shenanigans. anyway thanks for the info I'm just building a standard gishki ritual deck so I don't think I'm hurt to bad right now since I refuse to use OTK/FTK strategies as I think they take the fun out of the game.Β

i was hoping too to either grapha, dragged down into the grave or snoww get limited. when i play at locals there are like 5 people who plays with dark world and dark world decks are troll and the only card they got hit is card destruction and evilswarm deserved another card to be hit besides from rabbit and staples. now with heavy storm gone it's hard to decide between using lots of traps or fill some of my empty spots with spells to give speed to my deck or monsters that can return cards to the hand. i dislike a lot the new list i prefer mostly the OCG one since i loved seeing gorz at 2 and limited big eye.

my main deck was Six Samurai for a while I don't use it much anymore but it lost gateway so it's still good I didn't use it much anyway. I use Mecha Phantom Beasts now and that deck lost Monster Reborn and Heavy Storm. the limited/forbidden list is total crap nowadays 90% of the cards on it were added because of syncros and XYZs

a lot of decks got killed or lost some important cards in this banlist, i agree that the current banlist is crap and konami and some people thinks that the current banlist would make the game balanced but it just benefits few decks that depends on the graveyard like mermails (with soul drain at 1 it's hard to side deck against that deck if certains deck can't xyz abyss dweller) bujins, and some more and to benefit certain xyz and synchro summons, to bring zombies and agents back now that zombies got plaguespreader zombie and mezuki at 2 and agents got tg striker at 2 and earth at 3 and transmodify to summon kristya from the deck and to start setting lots of spell and Β trap cards without worrying about heavy storm. my deck lost 3 important cards 2 of them were staples and the last one was shock master which was banned to bring the black whirlwind to 3. i really wanted the TCG to have the OCG list because the OCG list seemed good to me.Β

the banned list has alway annoyed me and what they use to decide what goes on it isn't fair I mean the only reason Chaos Emperor Dragon is on it is because of the Yatalock

it sometimes annoyed me and sometimes it benefit me, the september 2012 list affected me a lot with the limit of gustkraken which killed my gishki lvl 6 variant and the hieratic gishki loop wasn't going to exist Β until april because the true culprit of the loop was m7 and not gustkraken but still gustkraken was the one who reduced hands, the march 2013 list benefit me because none of the cards hit threatened my deck but the september 2013 list to me it was the worse banlist in all of yugioh history for hitting every staple and cards that affects the graveyard so bujins can be meta aswell making mermails to be harder to side deck with soul drain at 1 and people believes that banlist makes the game more balanced which for me it just benefit graveyard dependant decks. all it really does is strengthen decks that rely on Syncros and XYZs. My old Neos deck used to be tough to beat but now days unless my opponent dead draws I'm beat before I can get any traction
