Barys at first didn’t want to be a wizard even though he was the only one in the non-wizard family who could make it to Eslolnia institute of Wizardry and Technology. He wanted to learn Science to help improve his kingdom. Until the war erupted, he realized how important a magic was to save his family.

Emperor Anders of Oceania saw his ambition and invited him to the capital where he trained to be a wizard engineer. Barys can use his scientific knowledge and magic to create numerous military weapon and vehicles. He becomes Anders’s trusted guy together with Michael and Vincent.
