Inktober #10 - FORTUNE -

Bounce. Bounce. Bounce.

The little witch and the little pirate were taking countless mushrooms bouncing pathways leading through the mushroom forest and steadily gaining height.

"It can't - huff, huff - be far!", Wiwi shouted sounding exhausted. She heard Jack bouncing behind her taking the same path as her.

After a bit Wiwi took one last big JUMP!
And then suddenly there was no more.
They reached the highest point of the enchanted forest - and were greeted with a soft glow on a mushroom pedestal.

Jack landed right beside her.
"We... We found it!"

There it was. A surprisingly legit looking treasure chest was waiting on the mushroom pedestal.

The small group of treasure hunters looked at it in awe. They finally found it!
Wiwi smiled and indicated for Jack to step forward.
"This is yours!"

Jack looked at her with a shimmer in his eyes and eagerly shook his head. "No. We made it together!"
He grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the treasure chest alongside him.
Wiwi looked at him with surprise and a slight blush on her cheeks.

So the little witch and the little pirate opened the treasure chest together - and they weren't disappointed. Countless golden coins were shimmering in there, surely it must be worth a fortune! A small heart was carved into the lid, barely visible.
And laying on top of that fortune was -

"A swoooord!!!", Jack screamed and immediately took it in his hands. "A real pirate sword!! I can't believe it!" His eyes were shining just as much as the treasure.

Wiwi smiled at his joy when she suddenly noticed another gleam coming out of the chest and towards her.

A scroll of paper tied together with a string and a small star attached to it flew towards her.
It felt strangely familiar as if it always belonged to her.
She let it land in her hands and tried to open it - to no avail. Instead the paper lifted up again, the string elongated and tied itself around her waist like a belt.

"...".

Wiwi didn't say anything and looked at the two stars who were hovering above the treasure chest with a satisfied smile on their faces.
She turned to Jack and pointed at the chest.
"Look at all this gold! It must be worth a fortune."

Jack finally took his eyes from the sword and inspected the golden coins in the chest.
He took one out and -
took a bite!

He laughed while seeing Wiwi's very confused looking face.

"These are all made of chocolate!
This is the best treasure ever!"
