What can be said about Kong? He's a cinematic icon who began the giant monster/kaiju genre and arguably killer animal films. If not for him there'd be no Godzilla, Gamera, Ultraman and such today and that reason there is why he should be respected.
Plus gorillas are cool (My headcanon barring 2005 incarnation he's an hominid in the Homo genus or an type of Australopithecine based on bipedal structure and human-like features). He's also my third favorite character (The first being Daggett from The Angry Beavers and the second being a tie between Godzilla and Gamera).
Awesome work. I especially like the look the eighth wonder of the world is giving.
