Something I don't think I mentioned about Naomi and Sasha is their tendency to engage in forms of 'natural therapy'. As Naomi lead the global TILT organization, she took in a good deal of information about other culture's methods of relieving stress and improving emotional and physical wellbeing, which her daughter Sasha often joined in on. A candle light therapy in this case would help with relieving muscle tension and cleansing skin from the heat of the candle wax. Though Adam often questions this given his "man of science" role, he doesn't question the good impact it had on his wife and daughter's emotional well being.
