This is really cute in a dark sort way. It's kind of kind of symbolic of they're relationship, Sherlock is like this monster that everyone's afraid of and makes fun of but John realizes Sherlock's actually kind of sweet, he's just different and seems scary. It makes me think of something I'd probally think up, a kid his monster best friend.
