Description I know a Princess and a Queen,
I love them both as they're quite keen.
Each has a love who causes them pain,
yet speaks of heart and fate all the same.
Once widowed, they say, you can't love one more,
but I see my friends getting used like a whore.
Not their needs but his, on a timetable for him,
I wonder if these boys call them up on a whim.
I'm free, they say, let's hang out,
wrapped around their fingers, no doubt.
But these women I know, are stronger than this,
why can't they see, that this will never be bliss?
The heart is a funny, wooly, wild child,
but when from pure joy was the last time they smiled?
I hope someday they can feel their own light,
and walk away from what we see as blight.
