Description
I COVERED THE FEET! oh noes!but wow 2 images in 2 days...modeled after ma puppy who has such pretty anatomy but I wish she had ears like those, hers really arent that floofy.
Photoshop and OC.
Drawn and colored in OC; bg made in PS and I also edited it some in PS.

The body structure is near-to-perfect.
But the eyes and the ears don't seem that border collie-ish.
If you need inspiration for the ears and eyes I shall take photos of my border collie which looks like this one, and you may use them to practice maybe on the ears and eyes. That is all that is needed to improve. But it is truly a great drawing. And I would buy a print.
Too bad I am too young, and my mum doesn't let me.

I absolutely love this border collie! The fur came out beautifully and the green background, in my opinion, gives a earthy-emphasis to the black and white contrast. Like defineing that it's an animal that flurishes in nature.
I dunno, you might have just gone with it because you like green. Tis only my interpretation. ^^

You did such a great job on the hanging look of the fur. It looks feathery soft and I like all the different directions you have the fur heading towards on the neck curve. Great!

I always start with a semi small sketch and I blow it up to several times its normal size..usually Im working in the 3000pixels =/

ooohkay. Also . . . when you do the background in photoshop, you open the file in ps, right? XD I'm just confused because there's usually white on the edges of the stuff I do in oC . . . do you get rid of those in photoshop or oC or . . . *is confused and annoying* XD

yeah..you mean white edges like when you start drawing on a seperate layer the color starts off as white? like this? [link] I get rid of that problem from coloring on top of my sketch in OC..not on a seperate layer from the sketch but actually on top of the sketch (ofcourse the sketch has to be on a seperate layer from the bg so if you scan a picture in to color your gonna have to make a new layer =/ ). Because the color on the paintbrush will blend in with the sketch..

like this^ you can still see alot of white in the tail but you see how it dragged orange into it from the sketch color.
its just some erasing and alot and alot of coloring over to darken things =/ you can also adjust your paintbrush settings to be really hard..but I dont really like doing that.

normally Ill keep images saved as oci until Im ready to do the bg..then Ill go and Ill save the picture to psd..that way I can save my event file and I can still have all my layers.

I like how you brought the colors from the background into the fur. I don't see many digital artists do that for some reason. X3 even though that's how light would reflect... and it looks really nice when well done, like in this pic here.
And I like the ambiguous green stuff that's covering up the feet. XD
