SHORT STORY (in progress):

Nzuri is the first born son of Kiara and Kovu. He and his sisters were born shortly after their queen mother discovered that their father Kovu had a mistress and a cub. The cub that was born just before them, their half-brother Kuwaka.

His parents did not divorce, they stayed together only to maintain their still unstable pride. Kiara ruled alone and Kovu was only a decoration, king in name only.

Nzuri was mainly raised by his mother, as he was the first born and very sick from an early age. Kiara taught Nzuri how to be a king and rule. He also got a glimpse of his father (not a good one), his half-brother Kuwaka, Zuri, etc. from her. Because of this, he has a very distant to formal relationship with his father and hates his father's lover and Kuwaka.

Since he was never the strongest and healthiest, Kiara pampered and pampered him a lot. Nzuri became a self-centered and conceited lion who looked out for himself.

He has a rather complicated relationship with his siblings. His sister Ukali has never been a very emotional type of lioness and has a more formal relationship with Nzuri, she is his sister, she is the leader of the lion guard and he is her king/heir.

With his other sister Jua, they have a very complicated relationship. When they were very young, they liked each other very much, they were attached to each other and playful. Later, however, their relationship slowly began to fall apart after Kiara began taking Nzuri to royal lessons and Jua was left to care for their father and the others in the pride. A crucial point comes when the young princess meets Kuwaka and together they become more and more friends. The ultimate breakdown came every time Nzuri made fun of Kuwako, or tormented, tormented, and mocked him. Jua was always on Kuwaka's side, which always annoyed Nzuri greatly. Later, at his instigation, he was married to the princess of a great and powerful kingdom in the desert, Princess Uma. To his dismay, Uma had been raised with a firm hand, unwilling to be merely an ornament and not willing to let Nzuri ruin the name of Prideland through his temper and immaturity. She gradually gained votes and took over the government as the main one. Nzuri remained only a Consort - which he didn't mind in the end, after all, he was still higher than the other lions.
