Female Gambit
Download for full resolution 1630x2233 ox. XD Definitely one of the largest I've done to date. LOL Go check out the other versions as well. The traditional drawing of it is GORGEOUS.

And several other people coloring as well as me now submitting my own colored version of it. This took FOREVER to load. I think I spent most of last night and tonight working on this, about 40 layers, and 30 MB in PSD format. I actually did all of the work PT Sai though, trying to do something a bit more serious and in color in the program, since lately I've not really been running Photoshop on this old junker of a PC.
Anyways, enough rambling.

oh hey, this looks really badass... coincidentally enough, we're working on a collab thats really similar to this. We're drawing kings and queens of the 4 different suits. Anyway, always happy to see great work from you pal.

ahah sounds good. we've been splitting the canvas into 4 sections and been on a bit of a collab spree. Other than that, I havn't done anything major since the octopus... speaking of which, its sitting in the animals hall of fame! We'll see how long that actually lasts.

Awe, thanks Sushie. This was so much fun to color. ^_^ Took quite a bit of time on my old junker, considering how many times it stopped recognizing the tablet and wouldn't use the pressure effects. XD
I like the eyes as well. I originally had them as teal, then decided to go look for a Gambit reference. I was just going to color it however, but decided to follow the character colors.

Also probably won't be on doing art as much this coming week anyways. I found out today that one of my mom's co-workers has a puppy that she needs to find a home for, so we're getting it tomorrow! So, it will be making room for the puppy and getting all the supplies we need for her in the morning.
I can't wait to see her. She's a black shi-tzu... however you spell. She's 6 months old and already house broken, so that's a plus. ^_^

Haha, yes, as much as I said I'm not a dog person, having a dog that's as small as my cat isn't too bad. She's really frightened though. She hasn't done much other than curl up on my bed, but part of that is because I had to give her a bath as soon as we got her home.
She decided to crawl under the old junk car and get in a grease spot underneath it, hence the bath and fright. That, and she doesn't seem to want to explore yet. XD

Pretty much hates the fact that the puppy seems to have taken to sleeping on my bed and following me around. XD
He wouldn't even come in for the night when I tried to get him from out side after dinner.
Hopefully he'll figure out that he's still welcome to cuddle with me at nights too. Poor cat thinks he's been replaced. XD

ROFL, yes Tigger certainly thinks he's man of the house. XD Goodness knows he's had his furry butt handed to him too many times by my grandmother's female cat, Emery. She's a wild little thing, and certainly roams the house as well, but is more anti-social.
XD Haha, yeah, but if you keep them styled nicely, they can be cute. It's the ones who have the long hair and the over the top sort of style that I can't stand. But no, I haven't heard her snort.
I'd much rather have the shih tzu over the pug that my aunt had anyday, or the English Bull dog that my brother wants. I don't see the big deal in them. LOL

LOL My mother had an English Bull Dog come in to her work... OMG she was soooo ugly she was cute.. Soo lovable too. She was a fat little rolly polly and she snorted when she was happy. XD

ROFL. XD The English bull dogs are also known to have fequent breathing problems, because of they're smashed in faces. Persians are the same way.
Haha, well it seems like my cat finally got fed up with the pup and laid into her with claws for a minute. She yelped and he seems smug about it. ROFL. He's taken his spot back in the middle of my bed at least. ^_^

and yeah, they do have a lot of breathing issues... one died on the op table when getting neutered because his wind pipe collapsed.. soooo sad. But that is why they snort.

Haha, I know right. I have one cat that looks like she's constantly plotting to take over the house, and the other just lazes about until one of the other pets piss him off.
Yeah, I agree. That, and the fact that there are BEAUTIFUL dogs that need homes that are SO much cheaper from the ASPCA and other places that need to find homes for them. I'd rather adopt a stray than pay a breeder any day.

Nutmeg, the other shih tzu, she's the oldest pet here. She has to be at least 15 yrs old. I know that for sure, because my mom and dad had her sister litter mate, Macy back before they got divorced. They separated when I was in 4th grade, so it was probably a few months to a year before that.
XD Let's see, Tigger, my lazy cat who THINKS he's in charge was a stray that showed up at our house during a rainstorm wanting to come in, it was quite funny, we couldn't turn him away, and he decided to stay.
Deetz, he was one of the dogs we got from the ASPCA when there was a selection of pets from an over crouded shelter being held on display at the mall for a day.
Emery, she's the evil plotting *witch of a cat, I actually got her as a kitten from after my first cat's death of old age. We also had one of Em's kittens from her first litter for two years.
And now we have Zoey. She's a purebreed, but she's not really a registered recognized shih tzu... I'm not sure where her previous owner got her from.
