The problem with SH is that they needed a reason for Thistleclaw to be in the Dark Forest. So they decided to make him a pedo.
They handled it poorly, and did it to the wrong character.
Want a reason to send him to the DF?
Use the fact he's battle hungry and ambitious. Maybe he kills an enemy warrior in battle for no reason? Or thinks Sunstar is weak and plots to kill him? Like, take that omen Bluefur and Goosefeather had of him covered in blood and use it!
