Bio:

Every winter, AMELIA LOCKWOOD and her brother, Luke, would go on a winter retreat to her parents' mansion in the snowy mountains of Canada. During one of those getaways, the Lockwood family befriended Nicholas Bakker and Kaimuaik, who have agreed to take care of the mansion in their absence. One winter, however, Luke and Amelia got lost in the woods. They were pursued by Makkapitew, the biggest and strongest of the Wendigo. Hiram attempted to save them, but a cave-in trapped the siblings. Helpless and angered, he killed Makkapitew, unleashing its spirit. Luke and Amelia spend a dangerously long time in an abandoned mine with no hope of escape, threatened by hypothermia and severe hunger. Both knew of the legend of the Wendigo, so fear held Amelia back. But for Luke, the compulsion to eat was more than he could bear. Desperate with hunger, Luke beat Amelia to death then proceeded to eat her corpse. This caused Luke to become possessed by Makkapitew, and he transformed into a Wendigo.
