UNAYA is an Omature mermaid living in Baja California. She has a few scars from her favorite prey, the Humboldt squid, but Unaya is identified by a cookiecutter shark bitemark left on her rear end. Once she was old enough, she left the clan to live on her own. She is also followed by a group of horny mermen who want to mate with her, but with Jordan Madeline's help, she evades them temporarily.

Some time later, Unaya sets her eyes on a boy named Alexander Sulley. Desperate to escape mating against her will, she takes Alexander to her cove and she rapes him, much to the anger of his girlfriend, the lamia Maybell. However, having sex with Alex wasn't enough to deter the mermen, and they sexually assault her, but Maybell fends them off, saving her. In return, Unaya asks to live with Alex and Maybell, and they agree to let her live in his fancy home in Tijuana.
