Description 1.9 – Suffer Our Fury

Plot:

An asteroid crashes into Earth and unleashes the Legion, which intends to harvest Earth and build a nest…

Full Summary:

During a field trip, Saki and her classmates see an asteroid crash near the mountain. The results are catastrophic, as a huge flower grows in Sendai, unleashing a swarm of insect-like creature. Gamera attempts to destroy the flower, only to be defeated by the swarm's gargantuan queen. Gamera then sacrifices himself to destroy the flower, which completely obliterates Sendai. The queen of the Legion leaves to build a new nest.

Saki uses her mana powers to revive Gamera, who severs his bond with all children except for Saki, and he fights the queen. With military assistance, he manages to rip off her horns, but Legion's eyes turn from blue to red and she uses deadly laser whips. Left with no choice, Gamera absorbs all of the mana in the Earth and unleashes a chest beam that destroys the queen. He takes off, and Saki learns she's the Chosen One, as Gamera never severs his bond with the one he chooses to fight with...
